On 1 October 1908, Samuel Plummer, 23, of Wilson, son of David and Ella Plummer, married Jenette Barnes, 20, of Wilson, daughter of Warren and Agnes Barnes, at the bride’s residence. A.M.E. Zion minister N.D. King performed the ceremony in the presence of Levi Jones, Charles Holland, and Charles Woodard.
