Mrs. Annie Aldridge‘s husband was the late Prince Albert Aldridge,¬†who died 15 May 1953. It is not clear whether “Mother” was her mother or his, Dora Green Aldridge of Fremont, Wayne County.


In the 1900 census of Fremont township, Wayne County: farmer George W. Aldridge, 49; wife Dora, 35; and children Prince, 13, Reka, 11, Eva, 9, Blancher, 7, Bessie, 6, and Rosko, 2.

Prince Aldridge, 24, of Wayne County, married Annie Edmundson, 22, of Black Creek, in Black Creek, Wilson County, on 26 August 1912.

In 1917, Prince Albert Aldridge registered for the World War I draft in Wayne County. Per his registration card, he was born 11 January 1888 in Fremont; worked as a farmer for W.E. Davis of Wayne County; and was married.

In the 1920 census of Nahunta township, Wayne County: farmer Prince Aldridge, 33, wife Annie, 28, and adopted son Charlie Daniel, 12.

In the 1930 Hill’s Wilson, N.C., city directory: Aldridge Prince (c; Annie) plstr h 303 N Reid

In the 1940 census of Wilson, Wilson County: at 303 Reid, rented, Prince Aldridge, 53, tobacco factory stemmer, and wife Annie, 49, tobacco factory laborer. Both were born in Wayne County.
