  1. Sarge Russell originally from NYC and Frenchtown NJ? Thirty years ago in my early twenties I took the bus from Manhattan across New Jersey to Frenchtown to visit Sarge. I showed up unannounced without knowing which house in the center of the downtown was his. He found me at the only open diner that night. I stayed with him for two days and worked with him. I told him that historic preservation had really taken off in the South. Sarge used to take me to play soccer in Prospect Park Brooklyn in the early 1970s when I was child. I always looked up to him. I told him that he could easily move South and restore historic properties. I heard some years later that he had gone and done just that. I would like to know how he’s doing. I’ll try his 908 number tomorrow, maybe he’ll answer. Tommy told me once that he visited Sarge in North Carolina and they sat out on his porch and talked about the old times. Unfortunately Tommy passed away in Vermont a few years ago. I hope that Sarge is doing well. Jason, Nancy and George all sent their best.
