The Tulsa Tribune, 29 March 1931.
Geneva Battle Faver was one of 60 witnesses called to the stand to prove charges of conspiracy and use of the mails to defraud against Anglo-American Corporation. This article, headed “Son Persuaded Mother to Buy: Anglo-American Promoter Paid Him Commission,” set forth one tale of woe after another, notably involving hapless immigrants or African-Americans.
Geneva Faver owned land with valuable oil rights, and she traded away a portion of the royalty from those lands and $3000 worth of apparently legitimate stock for Anglo-American’s swindle.
