This theatre for colored patrons presumably was the Ritz Theatre at 523 East Nash Street.
A few comments:
- The Hines Brothers were William and Walter.
- “congestion at the Carolina” — the Carolina Theatre admitted African-American patrons to its balcony. The Wilson did not admit them at all.
- This theatre was preceded “below the Coast Line railroad” by Samuel H. Vick‘s Globe Theatre and the white-owned Lincoln Theatre.
