Today was sunny and cool, and Mildred Hall and I placed the floral wreath and dozens of memorial white roses in Vick Cemetery. Mildred’s mother and my grandmother were first cousins, and two of her young uncles and one of mine, among other relatives, are buried in Vick. We thank all who contributed flowers for this special event — a group that includes both descendants and sympathetic friends:
