A sanctificationist arrives.

Wilson Times, 27 August 1897.

In the 1890s, there was no line between news reporting and idle musing, and racism permeated both.

  1. This man was only preaching.
How wrong it was to first label him a SANCTIFICATIONIST ( which is name calling) then align him with the crimes of others only because of the color of his skin. as the whole article implies.

What was so wrong with wanting “freedom to do so without interruption” ?…….which was actually the bigger issue for the man, and so many more like him, for just wanting to be free without prejudice , suspicion, or condemnation… as the writer of this article was clearly guilty of not supporting.
