The listing incorrectly cites 1977 as the year Ellis Chapel was built, but that’s the date it was extensively remodeled and an extension added. The church’s brick cladding mostly hides its 1911 clapboard siding, but the wooden boards peek out at the short belfry. The original, peaked, stained-glass windows are another tell. Realtor photos show the interior of the church has been largely gutted.
