Old Lassiter School was in an area across the street from current day Lancaster Farms in Wilson County; in the Stantonsburg/Evansdale area.
Thanks, Annette! I had suspected that Lassiter School was the same as the school commonly known as Evansdale Colored School. However, I’d thought Evansdale School was closer to Evansdale Road. If Lassiter were on 58 near Fairfield Dairy Road, it would have been very close to the supposed site of Barnes School. With your input, I’m trying to find more about each of these schools.
