“Bill poster”?

When Emerson Clarence Winstead of Elm City registered for the World War I draft, he gave his occupation as “outdoor advertising” for Eastern Carolina office of the Dixie Poster Advertising Company. Joe Moore apparently did Winstead’s legwork, hanging the company’s bills and placards.
