Iredell County Public Library has released its final report on Green Street Cemetery, and I stand up and applaud. This is what respect and reclamation look like!

I am a member of the Green Street Cemetery descendant community; my maternal grandmother was from Statesville. I’m grateful for the many individuals and organizations that have worked to honor this sacred space and to create a successful model for other cities across North Carolina.
