More from the fine folk over in Statesville.
This clean-lined little newsletter arrived in my email box a few days ago, chock-full of the latest news of the city’s historic African-American cemetery, developments made possible by inspirational public-private partnerships. Here are highlights, and the full issue can be found here.
Be inspired, Wilson.
What a story and editorial about this cemetery. You know what I really want to “ask” about right?? As usual, the abject lesson here is to fix what has been broken since the beginning of a long history of disrespect by folks who just didn’t or don’t care. Appreciate the awesome work, Cousin.
It’s a great story. We have so many ancestors and relatives buried at Green Street, Shawn, including our grandmothers’ father, grandfather, and great-grandfather!!
