Lane Street Project: celebrate with service!

Celebrate Juneteenth with service! Lane Street Project needs volunteers to help out at our booth at Wilson Juneteenth Festival and to join us at an Odd Fellows Cemetery clean-up sponsored by our friends at Scarborough House Resort. Please help make a difference!

Thanks so much to Jen Kehrer of Scarborough House for this video and all the work she pours in Lane Street Project!

  1. Thank you for bringing this, and other truths of history to the attention of myself and others. 💛

  2. Thank you for this video. My name is Tamela Scarborough and Im pretty sure that my Great Grandmother Rachel Bynum Scarborough and Great Grandfather George Orange Scarborough migrated from Wilson County to Lonoke County, Arkansas. My search has led me to this point.

  3. Hey Tamela. Every since we chatted this evening I have been reading about the Scarborough enslavers and the current progress made on the conversion to a resort house and a B&B. After I check my notes, I will chat with you soon.

    1. Scarborough House is doing quite well. I was impressed by the new owners’ willingness to confront the past and excited to help them find a way to honor those who tended that land.
