Wow! I can relate to the been a retired Federal Firefighter. I can remember when I first started even in 1975 with just two black in the department. With a A & B shift I worked A and the other gentlemen worked B. But through it all I retired with 29 years 1 month as an asst chief. The son on a sharecropper from Johnston County North Carolina. And thanks be to God I am grateful for a great career. God bless all of those that are still only bad of you.
