The Vick house by night.

Illuminated only by the light of a supermoon, the house Samuel and Annie Washington Vick built at 622 East Green Street. It has belonged continuously to Vick descendants since 1904.

Many thanks to George E. Freeney Jr. for sharing his incredible work.

    1. Vicki, I love your family home. It is so rich with history. You can see the care that went into this mansion of a house.

    2. I love this house and have been in it many times. You can feel the joy that was once there from the family by all the meticulous details and how it was well maintained. There is so much history there!

  2. As a child attending Springfield School, I remember Mr. Robert Vick as our principal. I rode by this beautiful house this week and notice the condition of it. Please don’t let this beautiful house fall apart. To many houses on this street have already fell apart. Let’s maintain the Samuel Vick Place. The sign looks great, but the house need some TLC. It would be nice if it was a place that people could tour.

    1. The house remains in the Vick family. As you can imagine, upkeep of a 120 year-old house is incredibly expensive. However, they are maintaining it and have plans for its future.
