Thomas Smith died 3 December 1945 in Wilson County. Per his death certificate, he was born 10 June 1865 in Cumberland County to Haywood Smith and Leah McKeithan; lived in Elm City, Wilson County; was married to Belle Smith; worked as a farmer; and was buried in Rest Haven Cemetery.
