Nelson Eatmon, born free in what was then Nash County (and likely brother to my great-great-great-grandfather Toney Eatmon) died without a will in 1881. Attorney Frederick A. Woodard was appointed administrator of his estate, which included 300 acres of land in Old Fields township.
