Mable Frances Whitehead Parks? Would that have been the same Mable Parks who was Dean of Women while I attended Fike HS ’79-’81? Would you be able to identify her? I thought the young lady on the first row, second from the right bore a resemblance to her.
Yes, that Mable Parks. Per my update note, I miscalculated the graduation year of 9th graders in ’38, so the info re the class of ’42 probably isn’t generally relevant. At least one member of that class — Jessie Gray Swinson — IS in the photo, though, so that may well be Mrs. Parks. I’ve asked my dad if he can identify any of them.
