- Samuel H. Vick Jr. — (A Ph.C. is a Pharmaceutical Chemist. The designation is a status, rather than a degree.) In the 1930 census of Wilson, Wilson County: Hines S. [Samuel H.] Vick, 62, real estate dealer; wife Annie M., 57; son Samuel H., 30, a druggist; daughter Monte L., 11; and Alferd Roberson, 78 (see below). In the 1940 census of Wilson, Wilson Count, Sam Vick Jr. is listed in his father’s household in Wilson working as a salesman for a cosmetic house. In 1942, Samuel Hiram Vick Jr. registered for the World War II draft in Wilson. Per his registration card, he was born 1 November 1900 in Wilson; resided at 622 East Green Street, Wilson; his contact was Mrs. Annie Vick; and he worked as a traveling salesman for Martin Laboratory, Philadelphia (“home every week-end.”)
